How did you come up with the idea for this product?
After becoming parents, we spent countless hours researching and worrying about the safety and composition of what we put on and in our children. To our dismay we found many of the silicone items in our kitchen were made of low quality silicone – when stretched it turned white, which is a sign of that the silicone contains fillers. This is referred to as “The Pinch Test” –– if silicone turns white when pinched twisted or pulled, it has fillers.After extensive research on silicone chemistry and production, we developed Platinum Pure silicone, which is the silicone we use in our Platinum Pure and otterlove brand products. Our silicone is made using an innovative and more expensive process than ordinary silicone, but this process creates absolutely no chemical by-products.

These bags use the water displacement method and therefore are not meant to be sealed. Step 1: Fill the silicone bag with desired food, do not seal. Step 2: Slowly lower into water, allow air to escape and vacuum to form around contents. Step 3: Keep opening above water and secure bag to side of container with enclosed fastener or clips. Optional: Use enclosed silicone fastener through top bag hole as needed.
